Chapter 18: Sentimental Journey

Big-band with vocals

I love the footloose rave-up numbers in this chapter, but it’s the slower jams that really get me - was any period of American music more romantic than the 40s? “Anniversary Song” is wry like a long shared secret, “I’ve Heard That Song Before” is a forgotten ache made instantly real again, and “It’s Been A Long, Long Time” captures the reunion butterflies you can’t suppress. Get swaying to some powerful nostalgia.
