Chapter 57: Dancing in the Street

Motown R&B

100% fire from start to finish. Seriously, it’s mad enough that Martha & The Vandellas made both “Heat Wave” and “Dancing In The Street,” two of the very best songs of the decade, much less that all of these songs were released on the same label in one four year span. Motown songs are the Oreos of music; no big surprises, a little on the conservative side, but so damn good every single time. A special shoutout to “Fingertips” and the clairvoyant crowd work of Little Stevie Wonder.
